My cute friend Brooke makes the cutest quilts. In the spring I asked her to show me how to make one and it turned out so cute. I have always wanted to learn to sew, so Ryan gave me a sewing machine for Mother's Day. This summer was so crazy and I was very intimidated by the sewing machine that it stayed in the box until August. I finally got it out and watched the DVD that came with it to find out that it wasn't hard at all. I had been looking all summer for some cute fabric to make the girls a quilt for Christmas and decided I better try to sew something simple first before tackling a whole quilt, so I took all the scraps from my blank and within a couple days I made a cute little pillow. For the last month I have been using all my spare time working on their quilts and finally finished the fronts and backs. I'm sending them off this week to get quilted and then all I will have left to do is bind them. It was a lot of work, but they both turned out really cute.
This is the Quilt Brooke made for me.
My pillow I made. I was pretty proud of myself. I have not used a sewing machine sense I was in the 8th grade.
This is the front of Brooklyn's and the back is going to brown.
This is the front of McKenzie's and the back is going to be pink.
