McKenzie's Spring Concert

The Farmer's Garden
The kindergarten classes put on such a cute concert.  McKenzie was one of the little flowers in the farmer's garden.  McKenzie loves to sing and was so excited to perform in the concert.  The teachers did such a good job.  Brooklyn, Grandma Hansen and I had a great time watching the concert.

Easter Weekend Fun!

We had such a fun Easter weekend.  Ryan drove down for the weekend so he wouldn't miss out on all the fun things we had planned.  We were so excited to have him in town for a few days.  On Saturday we started of the day early at the Ward Easter Egg Hunt and Breakfast.  The girls were so excited to go, but it was  a little chilly, so that made it hard to enjoy.  We had a great breakfast and the girls got lots of eggs filled with yummy candy.  They were happy after they filled their baskets.  We then headed off the the Syracuse City Easter Egg Hunt.  We got there just in time.  We didn't have to stand around too long and freeze.  Once the hunt was over we said hi to the Easter Bunny and headed home.  Later that afternoon we headed to Mike and Natalie's for dinner and one last Easter egg hunt.  It was so fun spending time with the family.  The weather was  a little  chilly all day, but we made the best of it and had a great day.

THE SYRACUSE CITY EASTER EGG HUNT
The girls very excited to get started once they saw how many eggs were waiting for them.
And their off again!  Ryan and I held back and watched, just hoping they didn't get trampled.  They did great.
McKenzie was so excited to see the Easter Bunny, but Brooklyn refused to go and sit next to him for a picture.
Look we filled our baskets to the top!
I made cupcakes for the Hansen Party.  The girls did a great job helping me decorate them.
 Yummy Easter Cupcakes.
I also made these yummy melt in your mouth Lemon Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream Frosting.
THE HANSEN FAMILY PARTY
The eggs are hid and the kids are ready to go.

Grandpa finally opened the back door and released the kids.  It didn't take them long to find all the eggs.
Lainee making good use of her cute little hands.
Brooklyn looking in all the sneaky spots.
 All the cousins minus Macie.

McKenzie loves to inspect her eggs and see what is inside.
After the Easter egg hunt we all hung outside and the kids played.
Pennie let Ryan hold for a few minutes.  She is still getting used to the Cook Family.
It was Maddi's birthday, so we surprised her with a birthday song and trick candles that don't blow out.  McKenzie was so excited to see Maddi try and blow out the candles.

The guys playing basketball.  With 5 brothers + dad + in-laws we have our own team.

After church we had finally had time to dye eggs.

After dying eggs we headed to my parents for a yummy Easter dinner.  Thanks mom and dad.
It was so fun spending Easter with my family.  We missed all of them while living in Montana.

Messy Day at School

It was Messy Day at school today.  Brooklyn and I were lucky enough to join in on the fun.  The kids were working on tie-die shirts for their spring concert and field trip.  It was fun getting to know McKenzie's new class and see her with her new friends.  The shirts turned out so cute.

No Training Wheels!

Look mom no training wheels.  While Ryan was home for the weekend I thought I would run some errands and get a few things done.  When I got back home McKenzie was cruising down the street with no training wheels.  Ryan said it took her about 20 minutes to figure things out.  She off and riding now.  She loves riding her bike.

McKenzie going up and down the street, showing off her new skills.

Swimming Lessons for the Girls

The girls love to swim, so this year we thought it would be a great idea to put them in swimming lessons.  The girls loved swimming lessons. They were so sad when the 2 weeks were over.  They learned how to blow bubble through mouth and nose and many different swimming strokes.  Im so glad we did them and will probably sign them up for more.

The girls getting warmed up.

Is it April or December?

The weather has been crazy this week.  I'm just trying to figure out what month it is.  I thought it was April, but as you can see we have snow.  It has been snowing sense yesterday and will continue to snow for the next couple days.  I thought we left the winter weather behind when we moved from Montana.  I guess we just brought it with us.  When is it going to be spring?
