Memorial Day Fun!

We had a great weekend with lots of relaxation and fun! We woke up early to go to a yardsale that Katie and Chase were having to find out that it was raining and would be all day, which would make the BBQ at my parents later that day change to and inside dinner instead. We were kind of sad about that, but made the best of it. By the time we got to my parents the rain had stopped so we were able to play out side after all. My parents for there anniversary this year went all out and spoiled the grandkids. The turned there large garden into a fun park for the kids. They bought this fun play set and a dome to climb on. The kids were in heaven.

The men hard at work putting together the dome. A few hours later one dinner break and another hour later they were done. At one point McKenzie came outside and said " Are you guys done yet so that we can play on it." It took a while to put together because the instructions that they followed at the beginning were wrong, so they had to take it apart and start over. It all came together in the end.

Three Little Monkeys!
McKenzie loved the new dome and was quite brave climbing it by herself.

Brooklyn was very insistant on doing it by herself, but soon figured out that she need dad's help. It's so hard to be little.
Buy the time everything was together it was cold again, so my dad decided to set up the fire pit. All we need was some marshmallows. Next time!

ALL BOY! Easton was having so much fun sticking everthing he could into the fire. Reminds me of all my brothers when we would go camping.

We bought a new car over the weekend. I just wish that I could drive it. Ryan and I have been looking for a good deal on one of these for the girls, so we couldn't pass it up.
McKenzie has driving in circles down. It won't be long before she will be driving all over the place. Brooklyn needs to get alittle bit taller before she will be able to drive it, but I don't think she minds letting McKenzie drive.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!
Being a mother is the hardest job in the world, but also the most rewarding. I love being a mother. I love waking up to these two little faces every morning. For mother's day Ryan and the girls took me to the greenhouse to pick out some bushes and flowers for the front of our house. I was excited because I have been asking Ryan if we could do something with the front of our house. The girls had a great time picking out the flowers and couldn't wait to go home and play with the dirt. As you can see they worked very had at playing in the dirt.

Ryan hard at work. He unloaded his truck twice, once with bark and the other top soil. He is feeling it today, and so am I. I can't believe what alittle racking and moving dirt can do to your body.
Looks much better!
It was so nice to add alittle color to the front of the house. We are not going to put in grass right now, so it was nice to at least do the flower beds.

My two beautiful girls! They had so much fun playing in the durt all day. They were such good helpers with racking the dirt and planting the flowers. I love my two little balls of dirt.

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!
We can't believe that our baby is 2. They grow up so fast.
For Brooklyn's birthday we went to the zoo with some of the family.
We had ton's of fun!
The whole family waiting for the train. Grandma and Grandpa Hansen, Aunt Katie, Easton , Aspen, Aunt Natalie, Uncle Mike, Brooklyn, Dad, McKenzie, and Mom's taking the picture. Grammy Lur, Uncle Matt and Tyce meet up with us later.

Brooklyn was not quite sure if she liked the train or not. By the end she was smiling.

McKenzie of course loves the train and could wait to go.

Aspen, McKenzie and Brooklyn checking out the White Alligator.

Look at those cute sisters. I love that we had them close and they love doing everything together.
Our little family.

McKenzie and Brooklyn on the Tigers. At home Brooklyn would say the tigers scared her, but when we saw them she was excited.
The Tiger was sleeping but the kids got and up close and personal look at the Amur Leopard. It was walking back an forth in front of the glass. It was pretty cool!
The girls loved climbing on all the animals.

It's present time. Brooklyn greeted everyone at the door " it's my birthday" and took the presents. Do you think she was excited!

All the cousins and big sis helping unwrap the presents. She had a lot of little helpers.
It's cake time!
Brooklyn Loves M&M and Chocolate, so she was very excited for the cake.

The Big 2!
Brooklyn loves to go bowling, so we got her a bowling set. She was so excited to open it and play!
Thanks to all of our family for coming and making this a special day for Brooklyn!
We love you all!
