Mall of America here we come!

We headed to Minnesota for the weekend to buy Ryan a new truck and for the girls and I go explore the Mall of America.  Ryan's truck was starting to have more problems then we wanted to deal with, so we decided to start looking for a new one.  He was very specific in what he wanted and found the one he wanted, the only bad thing was it was in St. Paul Minnesota, which is about 3 1/2 hours away.  When he told me he wanted to head up there I was pretty excited because I know that the Mall of America was not far from St. Paul, so I was very excited to take the trip.   We got there on Friday night and after checking into the hotel headed straight over to the mall for dinner at the Rain Forest Cafe (yummy).  After dinner we only had an hour before the mall closed, so we let the girls decide on a few stores they wanted to see.  The mall was massive so we knew we would probably only be able to see a few stores. They wanted to see the Disney, LEGO and American Girl Store the most.  We were only able to make it to the Disney and LEGO Stores that night because we got alittle distracted by the Nickelodeon theme park in the middle of the mall.  It just amazed me how huge this mall was.  The Mall has 4 levels, 520 stores, 50 restaurants, a Nickelodeon Theme Park, a Sea Life Aquarium and Movie Theaters.   The next morning we got up and headed for St. Paul to pick up Ryan's new truck.  It was so nice to say goodbye to his old truck and drive away in his new one.  He was one happy boy.  We then headed back to the Mall to spend the rest of the day.  We took the girls to lunch and and then to the  Sea Life Aquarium where we spent several hours checking out all the sea creatures.   It was so nice and relaxing walking around the aquarium.  Next we headed to the American Girl store and a few other before we headed back to Sioux Falls.  We had a blast and I can't wait to go back this summer.

We only had to drive about 20 minutes and we were in Minnesota.

Dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  So yummy and a fun experience for the kiddos.

Our little princesses in their castle.

This is the LEGO Store a kids dream come true.  All of the round tubes on the wall are field with 180 different lego elements and there are table set up all through out the store with legos to play with.

Here are just a few of the eight large models including a LEGO robot that stands 34 feet tall.

This is the Nickelodeon Theme Park that is in the middle of the mall.  The girls thought it was pretty cool that there were roller coaster rides in the mall.

McKenzie and I in front of the American Girl store.  We were sad that it was closing, but knew we would be back the next morning.

Ryan and McKenzie with the New Truck.  Yes Ryan is spoiled.

The girls and I were so excited to make it back to the American Girls Store.  This store is amazing.  They have tons of dolls displayed all through out the 2 story store, they have a restaurant for you and you doll to enjoy some yummy treats  and they also have a doll hair salon where you can take your doll to get her hair done.  Ryan couldn't believe this was a doll store.  He's a boy they just don't understand.

It didn't take Ryan long to decide that he wanted to let the girls get a doll.  I couldn't believe what I was hearing.  We decided to let the girls pick out a doll and one outfit, but they had to wait until Christmas to get them.  They were so excited.  It was fun watching them pick out which one they wanted and a fun little outfit.  McKenzie picked out a My American Girl doll that looked just like her and Brooklyn picked out the Kit doll that looks like her.  The girls and I had a blast.

The girls checking out the Sting Rays at the Aquarium.

McKenzie was so excited when she found out she could hold the star fish.  Brooklyn just wanted to watch.

I think the Jelly fish were Brooklyn's favorite.  She ran from tank to tank checking out all the different jelly fish, big and small.

McKenzie really liked all the Sea Horses.

The girls heading into the Shark tunnel.  Inside this tunnel were different Sharks, Sea Turtles and tons of different fish.  It was so cool to see the Sharks swim over your head and right next to you.

We had a blast in Minnesota and we can't wait to visit again.
