Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving Dinner
We had Thanksgiving Dinner with my family at our house this year. I finally learned what our parents had to go through to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner. It was a lot of work, but it ended up great and everyone had a great time.

My Mom and Dad made indian headbands with the kids. We felt like that suited them best. They are all little indians.
McKenzie and Aspen working on there headbands.

We had a great Dinner, thank you everyone for your help.

Tyce's 2nd Birthday!

Our little nephew Tyce turned 2 November 27th.
We had a family dinner the Sunday before and celebrated his birthday. For the entertainment Matt made balloon hats for all the kids and a few other things. The kids thought it was great.
Matt made McKenzie a flower with a butterfly. She wanted a hat so she turned her flower into one and the butterfly is wrapped around her arm.
Brooklyn was a little hesitant on putting on the hat, but I caught her with it on.
We gave Tyce this Chattering Elmo. When you shake him he talks. Ryan is hoping it drives Matt crazy.
Grandma gave Tyce the Elmo Live. He is really into Elmo right now, so he was so excited.
Tyce and his fun blue cake.

Katie's Baby Shower

My cute little sister is having her first baby in month. I can't wait to see her little girl.
My sister-in-laws, my mom and I had a baby shower for her. She got tons of cute stuff that
will come in hand when her little one comes.
Congratulations Katie and Jake we can't wait for here to come.

Ryan really got into carving pumpkin's this year. We went to Michael's and bought some fake pumpkins for Ryan to try out, and ended up buying 11 all together. He spent one week carving one or two pumpkins a night. He couldn't get enough of it. He was just going to carve 4 one for each of us, Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, Cinderella and Snow White, but then he added, a Spider, Bats, Beware with claws, Count Dracula, a Werewolf, a Ghost, and a Cat. They turned out awesome and the cool thing is we can use them next year. Ryan is hoping to add more next year.

Neighborhood Chili Cook-Off, Carnival, Trunk or Treat

Our Neighborhood had a fun Chili Cook-Off and Carnival for the kids. There were tons of fun games for the kids and adults. At the end of the night we ended all the fun with Trunk-or-Treat.

Cook Family Carving Party

Everyone one in Ryan's family came over to our house for alittle Family Halloween party. We had dinner, played games and carved pumpkins. Ryan introduced the fake pumpkins to the group and it was a hit. Everyone's pumpkins turned out great and the kids had fun watching halloween movies with Grandma and Grandpa.

Murder Mystery Party with the Friends

Rob and Natalie put together a Murder Mystery Party with all the friends. We had so much fun. It was fun to see the friends and the Murder Mystery game was a blast. Thanks Rob and Natalie for all your hard work.

Ryan's Birthday Celebration!

Ryan's Birthday!
Ryan had a great day. Thank you to everyone who called and wished him happy birthday. For Ryan's Birthday he went Golfing and then we went out to dinner with his parents, Grandma Cook and Allie and Bryan. We went to one of our favorite places Joy Luck. We then hurried home before the girls fell asleep and did presents and cake. The girls were so excited that we didn't really have to worry about them falling asleep. The girls love to play games with Ryan, so they got him the Whac-A-Mole. The girls loved it and Ryan too. We love our Daddy one year older and wiser too.

The witches are out and casting their spells!

On Thursday after McKenzie was done with preschool my mom, sister Katie, and I decided to take the girls and go to Gardner Village to have lunch and check out all the Witches. The girls loved it. McKenzie didn't like the witches a first, but then she got excited when she would find one. They both thought that they were silly witches. The girls also loved the candy store. I don't think they have seen a store with that much candy in it. Brooklyn loved the free fudge, and so did I. It was fun to have a girls day out with my mom, sister and my girls.

Autumn is here!

Every year my family likes to go up by Snow Basin and take family pictures in the autumn leaves. This weekend was perfect the leaves were so pretty.I love it when the leaves change, but I don't know if I'm ready for what comes after the leaves change. McKenzie thought it was so cool that the leaves turned Red, Yellow and Orange. The kids had a great time running around together in the leaves.

Here we all are minus Kevin, who is serving a mission in California.
