Fun with Grandma and Grandpa Cook

Ryan's parents came to visit and introduce us to the new addition to the family Buster. We were very excited to have family come and visit. I think we are finally used to being away from home, but still miss seeing family. While they were here the weather was great, so we were able to do some fun stuff. Ryan and Pop's went golfing a couple times and fishing. We also took them to Giant Springs, Rainbow Dam, Ryan's Dam and to the Car Races. While the guys were off playing we did a little shopping and hung out with the new puppy. The girls loved having Buster here and cried tears when he had to leave. Ryan's parents left on a Sunday, so after they left we headed off to church with two little girls in tears. Ryan ended up taking McKenzie out of the chapel to calm her down she was crying so hard, by class time they were happy again and playing with friends. I'm glad they can get distracted easy.
Buster hanging out. Lucky was pretty patient with Buster always wanting to play and steal his bones away.
There were lots of Geese hanging out at Giant Springs. I love to see all the little babies.

Giant Springs is so beautiful. I'm glad the weather was good so we could take Ryan's parents to see it.

Our little family. McKenzie did not want to sit down for the picture because she was afraid of the water.

Just hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa

Brooklyn was so fascinated with the water. I was so afraid she was going to fall in. She just has to get as close as she can with out falling in, she is just like her dad.
Our little Boo

Rainbow Dam was open a little, so we could see some of the waterfall.
Friday afternoon we headed over to Ryan's Dam to have a picnic and play with the kids. It was beautiful. The island was open so we were able to go over and get a closer look at the dam, have dinner and play baseball with the kids. We had tons of fun.
Brooklyn and Dad checking out the island.
McKenzie talked Grandpa into giving her a ride too.
When we went up to the look out area to check out the waterfall we could see all these fish just feeding on the top of the river. There were tons and they were huge, it was pretty cool. More of the fish
Here are a few pictures of Ryan's Dam and the falls

Sorry not the best picture the sun was not at the best spot for taking pictures
We took all the baseball and soccer stuff so the kids would have something to play with, we spent most of our time there playing baseball with them. The both love baseball.

Grandpa catch us if you can.

Mom all the fussy fell off when I was running.
Saturday morning the guys headed off to the Missouri River for some fishing. They didn't catch tons of fish, but they had a great time. When the guys got home we went to dinner and then meet up with the Pfiles at the Car Races.
Ryan with one of the fish he caught
The girls ready for the race to begin. They had their sunglasses on so the dirt wouldn't get in their eyes.

It did end up raining on us for about 5 minutes, so excuse my fussy hair.
Me and my McKenzie, who we found out loves to watch the cars race and the louder the better.
Dad and Brooklyn, who was not very happy when the cars were racing and making loud noises.
McKenzie and one of her good friends Rosie munching down their treats.
The family at the races. I wish we would have had someone else take the picture so that Ryan could have been in it with us.

I was playing around with my camera to see if I could get the cars to freeze, this is the best I could do. I'm still learning.Brooklyn not very happy about the noisy cars
Thanks for the fun weekend Grandma and Grandpa Cook and Buster!

Daddy can we do your hair?

The girls love to do Ryan's hair while he is watching TV. They love to see how many bows they can put in is hair at one time. As much as Ryan says he can teach his girls to be tough and do boy things they are still as girly as they come. Ryan lives in a world of girls. I think he loves it.

Doesn't he look happy?

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was spent being a mother. McKenzie had been sick most of the week and by Sunday she was pretty sick. She was burning up, crying that her ears hurt and throwing up. I spent most of the day taking care of her. Ryan and Brooklyn fixed all of us a great breakfast, while I sat on the couch with McKenzie. By that afternoon we decided that we should probably take her into the doctor. We don't have insurance so we were not to excited about needing to take her in. She ended up having a really bad ear infection, so I was really glad we took her in even though it cost $200.00 for the visit and medication. She was still pretty miserable for a few more day, but is now back to her normal McKenzie. Later that night the girls and I opened my presents. Ryan gave me a new sewing machine and all the goodies to go with it.
The Girls Decorated my presents so cute I just had to take a picture of them.

A little trip to Helena!

We took a little trip to Helena about a month ago to buy a new trailer for our 4 wheelers. It was fun to just get away for the day. We took the kids to lunch and over to the carousel. The girls loved riding on the carousel, they could have rode on it all day. On our way to Helena we saw some Big Horn Sheep. I know they look different then you would expect, but they are females and babies and they look a lot different from the males. When we pulled off to take some pictures we noticed something that had been hit on the side of the road. As we got closer we could see the claws on it and realized that it was a Grizzly Bear cub. I took a picture of it, but will not post it, because someone cut it's head off and that is just wrong. I showed the picture to my Uncle Bob who stopped by on his way home to Alaska and he verified that it was a Grizzly Bear about 2 years old. You don't see that everyday in Utah.

Female Big Horn Sheep have horns but they don't curl like the males. It was pretty cool just to see some. We love all the wildlife we see up here.

Brooklyn's Special Day

Brooklyn had a fun and relaxing birthday. McKenzie woke Brooklyn up at 6:00am singing to her and telling her it was her birthday. Then she came running in our room telling us that Brooklyn was so much taller now that she was 4. Oh McKenzie! Ryan took the day off, so we just hung out as a family the whole day. By mid day Brooklyn was so excited about all her presents that we decided to let her open all of them. She loved everything and so did McKenzie. After opening presents we went to Applebee's for dinner and got ice cream from coldstone. Brooklyn wanted a strawberry cake but they didn't have any so we decided to just get everyone their own ice cream. The girls love coldstone, so they were in heaven. The girls had fun eating ice cream and playing with all the toys for the rest of the night. Thank you to everyone who called and sent presents for our little Brooklyn. The kids love it when they get a package.
I wanted Brooklyn to give me her best birthday smile and this is what she gave me. Gotta love our little Boo!
