A little taste of Montana

Well everyone here is a little taste of Montana. This last week has been a little crazy so we haven't been able to go out exploring much, so Friday night and Saturday we decided to take the girls and see some of the sights around town. There are so many beautiful places just 5 to 10 minutes away from our house some even closer. On Friday night we took the girls to the MacKenzie River Pizza Co. and had dinner. McKenzie thought that was pretty cool. The restaurant sits about 30 yards from the Missouri river, so you can sit outside and eat while looking at an amazing view. After we ate dinner we went down and walked along the river, the girls loved it. We also saw a beaver swimming in the river. On Saturday we went over to Giant Springs which is about 5 minutes from our house. Giant Springs is one of the largest freshwater springs in the world, it flows at 156 million gallons a day. There is also a fish hatchery at the state park. It was pretty cool. I have never seen a rainbow trout that big before and now Ryan really wants to go fishing. We are hoping to go and on some more adventures tomorrow. I will post more pictures as we take them. We love you all and can't wait to hear from you all.
This is Black Eagle Falls it's about 3 minutes from our house. So far this is one of my favorite places to go to see the river and an amazing view.
This is a picture Ryan took about 10 blocks from our house. Yes those are all bucks.
This is the view from the MacKenzie River Pizza Co.
If you look close enough you can see the beaver in the water.

I wish you could see how beautiful this really was. The green plants in the water were so bright and green.

This was one of the rainbow trouts you could feed at the hatchery.

This is just one of many tanks.
This is what all of the park look likes and it goes for miles. Its all so green and little animals like bunnies, squirrels and birds are all over the park. It was a great day. We will definitely be going to this park a lot. I love that it is only 5 minutes away.

Good bye to daddy!

Well it's been another crazy week. Ryan left Tuesday morning for Montana. It was a sad day for me, the girls and Ryan. Ryan made it safely there and with in a couple days found us a place to live. It's a little 4 bedroom duplex. Right now he is just sleeping on a little twin air mattress and can't wait for us to get up there. The girls and I are moving up there at the end of the month. We are already counting down to the day we see daddy. Today was an emotional one. I was getting ready for church and Brooklyn came in and said "mom McKenzie is crying, she misses daddy." I go out into the living room and she is in tears. I ended up having to call Ryan so that she could talk to him, but she was crying so hard that she couldn't even talk to him. Church was a challenge with out Ryan to help with the girls. They were great until it came time for me to have to teach then they both wanted me. We made it through church and then came home for a long nap. I also attached some pictures of the house in Montana. Soon that will be were we are living for the next 9 months. Adventure here we come. Ryan says it's beautiful, so I'm excited to go and check out Montana.

Lot's of Lagoon fun!

The last week Ryan was home we took the kids to Lagoon. We arrived at 10:30 am and left the park at 10:30 pm. The girls had a blast. We spent the first couple of hours riding the rides. Brooklyn was a little scared on the first ride, but quickly got the hang of it and loved it. McKenzie loves everything that is scary, so she was all over the rides. After lunch we spent the afternoon at the water park. It was just what we needed to cool down. Later after dinner we spent the rest of the night riding the rides. We did have on adventure. One of the rides we went on broke and we ended up being stuck on it for over a half and hour. The girls giggled with the kids behind them and we ended up talking the manager into free ice cream, so I guess it was worth it. We had tons of fun.

Days of 47 Rodeo!

Ryan's sister was able to get the whole family tickets to the Day's of 47 rodeo. McKenzie is really into horses right now, so she was super excited. It was a great show and the kids loved it. McKenzie said her favorite part was the bull riding. Thanks Katie for the tickets.

A night at the hotel!

For the 24th of July weekend we stayed at down at the hotel Ryan built with our friends and their kids. We had a blast. We went out to dinner and then went back to the hotel to swim for a little bit. We then went back to the room and put all the kids in on the king bed to watch cartoons and us adults watched a movie in the living room. The kids eventually feel asleep, after the movie we stayed up talking with our friends until 3 in the morning. We haven't done that for years. The next day we went swimming until we had to check out. The kids had blast. Later that night we went over to our friends for a BBQ with all the neighbors and fireworks. We had a fun 24th.
All the girls watching cartoons.

Crazy Month!

With Ryan home this last month things have been crazy. This last month we have had the 4th of July, went to the Drive In, took the kids to Discovery Gateway, helped our neighboor finish his basement ( painting and all cabinets), went camping for 4 days, went to Park City for a day, stayed one night at Ryan's hotel with the friends, spent the 24th with the friends, went to the Day's of 47 rodeo with the Cook's and this last tuesday took the kids to Lagoon. On top of all of that we have been getting all of the stuff Ryan needs for his move to Montana. Yes things have been alittle crazy. Im hoping I can get all of these posted in the next couple days. Enjoy!

Camping at Bridger!

Just the 4 of us went camping for 4 days and it was great. After the crazy week of working on our neighbors basement I was ready for a break. We went up to Bridger Lake one of our families favorite camp spots. We spent four days just relaxing, fishing, hiking, eating and more. The girls had a blast fishing, they both reeled in most of their fish by themselves. The fishing was awesome, Ryan had to just keep one pole in at a time, because we just couldn't keep up with the fish. We took tons of potty breaks and learned that you camp close to the bathrooms when you have two little girls that go potty all day. We hiked into one of the streams and played in the water. The girls loved playing in the river, it was really cold and they could have cared less. We had a great time, it was fun just to go and spend time as a family.

A night at the drive in!

For family night we went with our friends the Harwards to the Drive In. The kids didn't quite understand what we were talking about, but they thought it was pretty cool that we were watching a movie in the back of dad's truck.

4th of July fun!

Our 4th of July was a fun filled day. We started the day off at the Kaysville Parade. The kids had a blast catching the candy and handing out with the cousins. We then went back to my parents house and had a BBQ with the family and the kids played in the swimming pool. Grandpa and Ryan filled up tons of water balloons and Kevin was a good spot and swam with all the kids. We then went home for a much needed nap and then later that night had a BBQ with the neighboors a fun water fight and fireworks. We had a fun day with everyone we hung out with.

Daddy's Home!

Ryan is finally on his 3 week vacation, so I may be a little slow on posts. We want to spend as much time together as possible, because when his vacation is over he will be heading for Montana. I'm going to try and update everything from the 4th of July on Sunday.
