Daddy can we do your hair?

The girls love to do Ryan's hair while he is watching TV. They love to see how many bows they can put in is hair at one time. As much as Ryan says he can teach his girls to be tough and do boy things they are still as girly as they come. Ryan lives in a world of girls. I think he loves it.

Doesn't he look happy?

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was spent being a mother. McKenzie had been sick most of the week and by Sunday she was pretty sick. She was burning up, crying that her ears hurt and throwing up. I spent most of the day taking care of her. Ryan and Brooklyn fixed all of us a great breakfast, while I sat on the couch with McKenzie. By that afternoon we decided that we should probably take her into the doctor. We don't have insurance so we were not to excited about needing to take her in. She ended up having a really bad ear infection, so I was really glad we took her in even though it cost $200.00 for the visit and medication. She was still pretty miserable for a few more day, but is now back to her normal McKenzie. Later that night the girls and I opened my presents. Ryan gave me a new sewing machine and all the goodies to go with it.
The Girls Decorated my presents so cute I just had to take a picture of them.

A little trip to Helena!

We took a little trip to Helena about a month ago to buy a new trailer for our 4 wheelers. It was fun to just get away for the day. We took the kids to lunch and over to the carousel. The girls loved riding on the carousel, they could have rode on it all day. On our way to Helena we saw some Big Horn Sheep. I know they look different then you would expect, but they are females and babies and they look a lot different from the males. When we pulled off to take some pictures we noticed something that had been hit on the side of the road. As we got closer we could see the claws on it and realized that it was a Grizzly Bear cub. I took a picture of it, but will not post it, because someone cut it's head off and that is just wrong. I showed the picture to my Uncle Bob who stopped by on his way home to Alaska and he verified that it was a Grizzly Bear about 2 years old. You don't see that everyday in Utah.

Female Big Horn Sheep have horns but they don't curl like the males. It was pretty cool just to see some. We love all the wildlife we see up here.

Brooklyn's Special Day

Brooklyn had a fun and relaxing birthday. McKenzie woke Brooklyn up at 6:00am singing to her and telling her it was her birthday. Then she came running in our room telling us that Brooklyn was so much taller now that she was 4. Oh McKenzie! Ryan took the day off, so we just hung out as a family the whole day. By mid day Brooklyn was so excited about all her presents that we decided to let her open all of them. She loved everything and so did McKenzie. After opening presents we went to Applebee's for dinner and got ice cream from coldstone. Brooklyn wanted a strawberry cake but they didn't have any so we decided to just get everyone their own ice cream. The girls love coldstone, so they were in heaven. The girls had fun eating ice cream and playing with all the toys for the rest of the night. Thank you to everyone who called and sent presents for our little Brooklyn. The kids love it when they get a package.
I wanted Brooklyn to give me her best birthday smile and this is what she gave me. Gotta love our little Boo!

Happy 4th Birthday Brooklyn!

Our little Brooklyn is growing up fast. Today she turns 4 years old. I can't believe that she is four. McKenzie woke her up at 6:30 this morning to tell her that it was her birthday, then they came running into our room and McKenzie was telling everyone that Brooklyn looks so much taller and bigger now that she is 4. Ryan took the day off, so we are going to have a fun family day for Brooklyn's birthday.
Things we love about our Brooklyn:
We love to hear her giggle, she is always making us laugh.
We love how she loves her big sister McKenzie.
Brooklyn is very smart and a great artist. She loves to color and draw.
We love how she makes friends easy and is friendly to everyone.
We love our little Brooklyn. Happy Birthday!

Yummy Recipe!

I got this recipe from my sister-in-law and we had it for dinner last night. It was so easy to make and very yummy. My kids loved it and even my picky Ryan liked it, so thank you Katie for a new yummy recipe the whole family loved.
Creamy Crock Pot Chicken
4-5 Chicken Breasts (can be frozen)
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
1 pkg. Italian Dressing (it's the dry seasoning next to Ranch packets)
1/2 cube Butter
1 8 oz package of Cream Cheese

Place chicken, soup, dressing and butter in crock pot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours. Shred chicken and add cream cheese one half hour before serving. Serve over rice. Enjoy!

Poor Lucky!

Our poor Lucky had to have surgery on his eye. In the last couple months a tumor started to grow on his eyelid an was starting to bother him, so we decided it was time to get it removed. We also got his teeth cleaned at the same time, so it was quite an ordeal for him. He is kind of a baby and things like this are very traumatic for him. His surgery went well, but he did have some stress after which caused bleeding, but after an x-ray and ultra sound and some blood tests the doctor said he was probably just stressed and we just had to watch him for a few days. They have him on an antibiotic, so the bleeding has now stopped and he is almost back to normal. He is not loving the cone he has to wear, because he keeps running into everything and he can't eat him bone's with it on. He has to wear it for two weeks, so he will just have to deal with it one more week.
I took this picture the day before he went in for surgery.
Our poor lucky. When they brought him out the girls couldn't help smiling. If you have seen the movie UP then you know all about the cone of shame. McKenzie thinks it's so funny that he has to wear the cone of shame. The first thing she said when we got home was, " I have never seen a dog in real life with the cone of shame on. " I keep trying to explain to her that it's just a cone, but she keeps calling it the cone of shame. Oh McKenzie! Our sad puppy
Lucky trying to sleep with cone of shame on. One more week.

Easter Fun!

Easter weekend was quiet, but fun. I did miss the family Easter Egg hunt and hanging out with the girls while the guys went to conference. Not much longer and we will be home again. Saturday we colored eggs with the girl. I love coloring Easter Eggs. This year I bought paint and sparkles and the girls thought that was awesome. We had some fun family time. During the night the Easter Bunny came to visit. When the girls woke up there was a trail of eggs from their room to the living room and then to the basement. Brooklyn was so funny when she woke up she came running into our room screaming "The Easter Bunny left tracks all over our house." There was a note explaining to the girls to follow the tracks and then they had to find their Easter eggs that were hide all over the basement. The thought that was the best. I love having little kids that think everything is awesome. We then spent the day together as a family listening to conference. After conference the Pfiles came over and we had a yummy Easter dinner together. We had a great time eating and visiting.
Our cute girls in their Easter dresses.

Our little family. McKenzie just ran into Brooklyn's head and split open her lip, so she wouldn't give us a good smile.

The goodies the Easter Bunny left. He even went to Canada and got some kinder eggs.
They wasted no time finding the eggs.

Two very happy girls. When can we start eating the candy was the only thing going through their little minds.

Spring Time!

I saw this cute idea in the Friend on how to make tulips, so I thought we would give it a try. It did turn in to a week long project, but the girls loved it and the three of us had fun making them. All you need is an egg carton, paint, tissue paper and steams and glue. They turned out really cute and the girls loved the painting.

We decided to paint some water bottles for a vase for the flowers and little rocks to keep them from falling over. It was messy but fun.

A closer look

They turned out cute. I think I had just as much fun as the girls did. A little mommy and daughter time.

We love our Daddy!

The girls love it when they hear the garage door go up and Dad is home. The can't get enough of him. He always tries to come in and just relax, but usually has two little girls climbing all over him. If he sits down they are on his lap or shoulders. I guess it's a good think they love their Dad. They are both going to have a hard time when we move back home and Ryan stays here in Montana. We are all not looking forward to moving back and being separated. I just hope it's not for long.
