On June 26th we decided to take a little trip up to Fort Benton. Fort Benton is about 30 minutes from Great Falls. They were having their Summer celebrations with a parade, carnival, singing and fun booths to shop at. The parade was tons of fun and the girls ended up with tons of candy. After the parade we headed up to check out all the booths and enjoy a yummy lunch. We then decided to head back to Great Falls for a much needed nap. After naps and dinner we headed down to the River Walk trail for the Luminary walk the city was having. The walk took us to the Lewis and Clark center where they had telescope's set up and we were able to see the moon and Saturn. It was pretty cool and the girls loved it. Round trip we walked 5 miles, but the time we got back to the car the girls where asleep, so they missed out seeing the firework show.

Here come's the flag
McKenzie with Monte the Grizzlies mascot. I tried to get Brooklyn to get in the picture, but she wouldn't so the little boy sitting next to us jumped in there with Kenz.
The Missouri Breaks Gang made lots of noise when they came by shooting off their guns into the sky. The girls did not like this part of the parade.
This monument is of a faithful Sheep Dog. His owner became ill and had to come to the Fort Benton hospital and later passed away. His family wanted to body sent back east. The Sheep do watched as they loaded his body on the train where he waited every day for his owner to return. He became very famous to the passengers who came to Fort Benton
The Missouri River Runs through Fort Benton, so here are a few pictures we took of the beautiful river.
