McKenzie's First Day of School!

Our little McKenzie is all grown up and off to school. I can't believe this day is here. I have been crying for the last two weeks about having gone all day. In Montana Kindergarten is all day from 8:25-2:45, which is a long day not only for her, but for Brooklyn and I. McKenzie's first day started on August 25, 2010. I did really good her first day I got all my tears out at home that morning. She was so excited she just wanted to get to her class and get stared. Her teacher is great and that makes it easier for me to let her go each day. After we dropped McKenzie off Brooklyn and I headed home. When we got home Brooklyn just wondered around the house and then went and sat in her room for a little bit. I just let her have her space, because I figured this was all new for her to. Before I know it she came out and said ," Well mom what should we do". I took her shopping and then we meet up with Ryan for lunch. It was kind of nice just having one child with us. Before we know it the day was over and it was time to go and pick McKenzie up. She had a great first day and loved everything about it.

McKenzie very excited that the first day of school is finally here.
All the kids have to stay outside until they hear the whistle then they line up with their class and their teacher leads them inside.
McKenzie found her spot at her table and now it was time for the good bye's.
I did get a little teary when Brooklyn gave her a hug good bye. She misses her sister while she is gone to school.
All the kids after a successful first day.

I can't believe our girls are this old!! I'm glad Mckenzie is doing well with all day school! That would be a hard adjustment for both child and Mom!:) But it sounds like she's doing great! I'm enjoying having just one child at home as well! Makes shopping etc, a bit easier! She looked cute on her first day!
